Following the residential school system the perpetrators in this country from churches got away with their crimes, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the church, government and rcmp. We see this same pattern globally where churches are implicated in massive scandals against people in their communities, most of which are children. As an intergenerational survivor I say no.
I call on the public funded catholic school boards to be defunded and churches to be taxed and reparations go back to survivors and their families.
